AHA Family & Friends® CPR Course

The American Heart Association’s Family & Friends CPR Course teaches the lifesaving skills of adult Hands-Only CPR, adult CPR with breaths, child CPR, adult and child AED use, infant CPR, and choking relief for adults, children, and infants.

Family & Friends CPR is intended for anyone who wants to learn CPR, but does not need a CPR course completion card to meet a job requirement. This course is ideal for community groups, parents, grandparents, caregivers, schools and students, and others interested in learning how to save a life.

AHA Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED Course

AHA’s Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course provides the knowledge and skills that may help save a life. It also offers the basics of first aid for the most common life-threatening emergencies, covering how to recognize them, how to call for help, and how to perform lifesaving skills.

Heartsaver courses are intended for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements. This includes: babysitters, daycare workers, students, teachers, and any general office staff. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.

AHA Heartsaver® CPR AED Course

AHA’s Heartsaver CPR AED course provides the knowledge and skills that may help save a life. Although much is being done to prevent death from heart problems, cardiac arrest is still one of the leading causes of death in the United States. The skills learned in this course will help you recognize cardiac arrest, get emergency care on the way quickly, and help the person until more advanced care arrives to take over.

Heartsaver courses are intended for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements. This includes: babysitters, daycare workers, students, teachers, and any general office staff. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.

AHA Heartsaver® First Aid Course

AHA’s Heartsaver First Aid course provides the knowledge and skills that may help save a life. It offers the basics of first aid, consisting of the most common life-threatening emergencies, how to recognize them, how to call for help, and how to perform lifesaving skills. The most important goal of this course is to teach students to act in an emergency.

Heartsaver courses are intended for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements. This includes: babysitters, daycare workers, students, teachers, and any general office staff. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.

AHA Heartsaver® Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Course

The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED course is designed to meet the training needs of childcare providers in almost all U.S. states* while also being a comprehensive resource for parents, grandparents, teachers, babysitters or anyone responsible for the safety of children. Combining online and hands-on skill components, this one-stop-shop course teaches childcare providers and parents critical first aid, CPR and AED skills.

This course is intended for companies with a workforce where First Aid CPR AED training may prove invaluable for the safety of both their employees and customers (childcare workers, teachers, foster care workers, camp counselors, coaches, etc.), and the general public that desires to be prepared for an emergency in any setting (parents, grandparents, babysitters and guardians).

AHA HEARTSAVER® BLOODBORNE PATHOGENS COURSE

This classroom course teaches employees how to protect themselves and others from being exposed to blood or blood-containing materials. This course is designed to meet OSHA requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction.

AHA BLS PROVIDER COURSE

AHA’s Basic Life Support (BLS) Course provides the foundation for saving lives after cardiac arrest. Updated to reflect new 2015 science, BLS teaches the concepts of high-quality CPR, improvement of chest compression fraction, and high-performing team dynamics.

This course is intended for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings. This includes: doctors, physician assistants, nurses, emergency medical technicians, paramedics, firefighters, and other healthcare professionals.

 

$90 for original certification

AHA ACLS PROVIDER COURSE

AHA’s Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Course has been updated to reflect new science in the 2015 American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (2015 AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC). This course builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR.

This course is intended for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units such as physicians, physician assistants, nurses, and paramedics.

AHA PALS PROVIDER COURSE

In the AHA’s advanced pediatric course, students learn how to use a systematic approach to quickly assess, identify the underlying cause, and treat pediatric patients in emergency situations. Students interact with real pediatric patient cases, realistic simulations, and animations to assess and treat these pediatric patients. This includes applying basic life support, following Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) treatment algorithms, and practicing effective resuscitation skills and team dynamics. Through a combination of cognitive learning and psychomotor skills practice, the PALS Course improves students’ confidence and skill levels for delivering effective emergency pediatric care.

This course is intended for healthcare providers who either direct or participate in the management of respiratory and/or cardiovascular emergencies and cardiopulmonary arrest in pediatric patients. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units such as physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and paramedics.

AHA Airway Management Course**

The 2005 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care emphasize the need for rescuers to avoid hyperventilation. However, providing quality education and training to healthcare providers on airway management skills used in resuscitation continues to be a challenge.

The American Heart Association Airway Management Course is a unique program specifically designed to give students the opportunity to learn, practice and demonstrate many airway skills used in resuscitation. This course is intended for healthcare providers whose daily occupation or volunteer activities require the knowledge and skills of airway management. This may include, but is not limited to: physicians, physician assistants, nurses, respiratory therapists, paramedics, and emergency medical technicians.

AHA ECG and Pharmacology Course**

Specifically designed to address a key knowledge gap in Electrocardiogram (ECG) and Pharmacology, the American Heart Association’s adult ECG & Pharmacology Course is a new program focused on specific ECG recognition skills and drug treatment knowledge. The course is a pre-course option for ACLS students and other healthcare providers, or is also intended for ACLS students who need to improve after the ACLS pre-course self-assessment test. ECG & Pharmacology contains two modules, ECG and Pharmacology, which may be taken together or separately.

This course is intended for healthcare professionals who participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, residents, respiratory therapists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, clinical pharmacists and ECG technicians.

 

$40 per module, or

ASHI BLOODBORNE PATHOGENS COURSE

American Safety & Health Institute’s Bloodborne Pathogens program includes information that will help students understand what bloodborne pathogens are and how risks of exposure can be reduced for themselves and others. The program assists in satisfying the training requirements of the U.S. Department of Labor, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard 29 CFR 1910.1030.

This course in intended for any individual or employee who has a reasonable anticipation of contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials as a result of performing designated job duties.

ASHI EMERGENCY OXYGEN

Serious and life-threatening medical emergencies often cause oxygen to be depleted in the body leaving the victim at risk for shock. The ASHI Emergency Oxygen program focuses on administering emergency oxygen to breathing and non-breathing persons, emergency oxygen delivery systems and integrating pulse oximetry.

This course is intended for individuals who desire or are required to be trained in the administration of emergency oxygen.
